Amber Lucy

Artisanal techniques have been a part of Amber’s soul since childhood - experimenting with knitting, sewing, painting and creating. These artistic roots led to Amber’s career in architecture and her continued yearning for innovating, designing and experimenting has morphed into her design practice thread architecture. Amber’s aesthetic is strongly influenced by contemporary architecture and interiors and the artisans who add to the layered story of the designs. Each item exudes its own uniqueness through the bespoke craftsmanship and attention to detail Amber applies to each creation.

Amber has in-depth experience with the specific and varied aspects of commercial & hospitality architecture to allow large scale installations to be undertaken seamlessly.

Various works have been published in a number of leading print media including Vogue Living, Monument and House and Garden. Amber thrives on being presented with a challenging brief that ignites her creativity and is actively working with some of Melbourne’s leading architects, designers and trades people.

Collaborate

Private and public commissions inspire me to experiment with technique and form, meshing together traditional and new artistic expressions. Collaborations are a natural extension of my practice and are a welcome source of creativity.

If you have a suitable project -big or small, which we could create and collaborate, please contact me.
